IASCA CAR SHOW IN SPONSORED BY INTEGRA MOTOR GROUP

Ok so most of you know we had a car show at Integra Motor Group on 5 May 2018, yes a car show! If you were not aware Integra Motor Group sponsored an IASCA CAR SHOW at our own premises on Ontdekkers Rd in Roodepoort.

For those who do not know the IASCA CAR SHOW is an event with competitions that ranges from the best sounds, loudest car audio systems to lighting contests. It’s a car show where you are able to come show of your car, brag about your sound system and impress the judges with your car improvement creativity. 

As with many competitions a great turn out is to be expected! And not to brag ourselves, IT REALLY WAS A GREAT TURN OUT. Contestants came from far and wide in order to participate. Their expectation was high; the atmosphere was phenomenal and the cars were just breath taking.


IASCA truly came prepared with judges for each category which includes and is not limited to: SOUND QUALITY, SOUND OFF, GLOW IN THE DARK AS WELL AS SHOW AND SHINE. Now you are probably wondering what each category is about? Well let me tell you…

First up SOUND QUALITY- This is an amazing opportunity for the contestant to show that his sound system has the ability to reproduce the original source material in such a way that it feels like you are listening to a live performance. The quality of the sound must be so clear that it feels real.

Contestants of this show get judged on Classes which is based on car modifications and contestant status within the industry. Classes such as car seats judged from, the actual nr of judges, judging position within the car, tweeter location/ size, speaker location, max speaker size, kick panels, interior mods, safety equipment mods and so much more. After all it is a great way to show off your skills.

Then we get the SOUND OFF competition is exactly what it sounds like. During this competition you get judged on street league and bass boxing. They look at your cake make and model and the system information of your amplifier and subwoofer.

Let’s not forget all the other categories such as the GLOW IN THE DARK , this category judges you on the lighting of your car. You get judged on interior lighting, sound lighting (yes believe it or not), Overall lighting and custom lighting. This is where your creativity shines!

Last but not least the SHOW & SHINE, Where you get the opportunity to bring your car, show it off and impress the judges with not only the sound but the interior and exterior look and feel of your car. Here you normally get judged on; Panel & paint, Body & Exterior, Engine Modifications, Suspension, Interior and car audio. Don’t worry all the rules, regulations and judging requirements are at the above link mentioned earlier.


Now for the REALLY GOOD NEWS! All contestants can win their share of overall prices and there are trophies in every category so you are always a winner! The REALLY GREAT NEWS though is that Integra Motor Group Plans to host the IASCA CAR SHOW yearly on the 1st weekend of May.

Cape Town fines soon payable by SMS

Industry news  / 04 Jul '16, 4:09pm  Jabulile S Ngwenya Motorists in Cape Town will soon be able to settle their outstanding fines with smart pay-as-you-go technology, the city officials said on Monday. The City's mayoral committee member for Safety and Security JP Smith said a SMS service that notified motorists about their traffic fines had been been taken up a notch. “The City of Cape Town's Traffic Service is adding another technological advancement to its arsenal with the roll-out of smart SMS technology that will allow motorists to pay fines via their cellphones, tablets or personal computers,” said Smith. He said a service provider which has been testing the SMS technology for the past few months and “who is responsible for generating and sending fine notices” was looking at streaming the technology online.
